Fog light kit not fitting

Ok, I have a 2004 corolla. I bought a fog light kit off of ebay that claims to fit my car. What they sent me seems to be what it pictured, but it does not fit. The lights seem more square then what was sent.


I was sent this:

There are a lot of these 03-04 kits on ebay, and no one else seems to complain about the fitting, but when I look at the 05 lights, it seems that is what I need. Is there a change over in 2004 bumpers or something?

There is a change in 05+ models. 03-04 have different fog lights.

So maybe mine has an 05 bumper? Or it was made at the end of 04?

No I think there are other differences where the 05-06 bumper wont fit but Im not 100% positive. The 9th gen owners here can probably help you out. Also those aftermarket lights off ebay are crap and they dont always fit

I'm not sure what lights they sent you but these are the ones I got for my 06 Corolla and the fit like they came from the factory and it took me maybe an hour from start to finish when I installed them.
