1989 Toyota Corolla SR5. 310,000 miles, Power Steering finally worn out. Not working when cold, starts working when it get warmed up.
I will probably buy a rebuild kit for less than $20.00 pull it off, pull it apart, and replace the seals. It does not leak, and never did leak. From what I understand, the prssure relief valve maybe sticking open. The fluid has always kept it's bright red color. It uses Dexron ATF Fluid. A rebuilt at the auto parts stores looks to be around $150.00 , with core exchange. I will probably go for the rebuild kit.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you,
