Ever expanding project

Hi, Im kinda new to the toyota scene, mostly been researching so far. Heres the plan

20 V Black top head, on a 7A block with the 7A crank. I know a Porcshe 944 timing belt can be used to mate a 7A with a GE head, but what about the 20 Valve. I was wondering if there were any recommendations on con rods, since im planning on running 4agze pistons. The intake manifold would be a custom application, since im planning on runing a turbo (hence the Z pistons) The I also want to run the 6 speed. All of this would be shoveled into a 94 corolla. Are there any major conflicts anyone can foresee? (Ive been told the 4agze pistons will still clear the 20 valve heads) I know it'll be a pain to get a computer to run it, but hey thats the fun.

This morning I woke up and my plan took another turn...... I realized that the earlier generation corolla was offered in all wheel drive, with a 5 speed and a A block. Anyone know details on the durability of the AWD drivetrain? Would it be a worthwhile investment? Thanks guys.

connecting rods you ask, I say go 4agze/silvertop ones since they share them. Since if I recall right it's the bore thats different, not the stroke

7A block? You need 7A rods, 4A rods are too short.

Either get the standard rods shot pened or get some custom ones made.
The standard rods are reasonably strong

This info is for a 16V head conversion only(bluetop) (i havent done a 20V so wont risk commenting on them)

Cambelt to use is from a Porshe 944 turbo Gates part number is T107.
you have to run adjustable cam gears to get the cam timing right.

the compression on this setup 7age is apporxiamately 8.1-1

gudgeon pins= if your going to run 4age pistons on the 7afe rods we found the easiest way to do this was to use the 7afe pins but put them in the lathe and skinny them up with a piece of emery cloth, pretty seat of the pants but worked fine. (you will see why we did this if you every actually get round to doing this conversion)

If you want to make an N/A one and intend putting the 4age pistons in remember that the compression will be higher than what the same pistons would be in a 4age. basically redtop pistons in a 7age situation willresult in something like 12.5 to 1 compression with a .8mm gasket.

For a 20v 7age (I've got no experence in these just quoting off the web) a standard 16v cam belt can be used.

This setup is running a bluetop cambelt.

Ross racing dished forged pistons 8.0:1
Saenz H-Beam Billet steel alloy custom rods
7afe block modified to suit the rods
7afe crank, balanced and dowels for the flywheel
7afe flywheel modified to fit Quartermaster twin plate clutch
7afe standard alloy sump
20v blacktop head

This engine has 330kw @ the wheels on 27psi
