Matrix armrest FTW!

So my corolla XRS has this piddly little arm rest thing that sits about 2" lower than my elbow. I found a lid from the Matrix that is the same color as my interior and has a compartment in it that makes it about 3" taller than the stock lid was. It's awesome! I can finally rest my arm while on long trips, no more dangling my elbow in the air.

So if you want something to rest your arm on you can get a Matrix center console lid and it will bolt right into your corolla.

Is the Matrix armrest the same as the regular Corollas? My LE has a compartment armrest as well.

Sounds like a good idea. I would seriously consider doing this. On a different note, I always love how BMWs and other RWD cars have a very high center section (due to a bigger tunnel) that you can rest your elbow and entire arm on and just shift with wrist flicks. Gives a very sporty feel.

It is but the LE only comes in "stone" color. The matrix unit is charcoal to match the XRS interior.

That was the idea, the difference is amazing, worth every penny.

Great find! I noticed this little annoyance as well.. (I commute 90 miles one way)

Did you order this lid from the dealer and what was the $$?

I ordered mine from Toyota of Dallas for $75 shipped. It was worth it, the gal who helped me got ahold of arm rests from teh Scion tC, Corolla, and Matrix to compare them and find which one was right. Very cool of her!
