93 corolla stalls turning left

Hi, Here's a good one...my 93 corolla stalls when I turn left from a stop. It sounds weird I know but it really happens. Only when I turn left! Straight or right and all is OK. I did have some leak issues not too long ago (replaced the gas / tranny lines). I've taken it to my brother in-laws shop and they cant seem to find anything wrong. One thing that is also weird is that it only seems to do this when the gas tank is less than 1/2 full. I just have been driving with a full tank for a week and not once has it happened. Somebody has mentioned that maybe the baffles in the gas tank are messed up. Any thoughts?

Well, first, is it auto or manual? Did you replace the fuel pump? The gas tank? I recently just replaced my tank in my 93, and the car runs WAY better since its not dripping gas out of the front of it and has pressure again. It sounds to me like the pump might be on its way out, since it has to be pretty much submerged for it to work. Try a new pump, that might help.
