ok.....
if the owner of the car says "it won't run, it needs a sensor, it doesn't get spark".... then it's the ignitor.....
BUT if the car every now and then *does* start... it is NOT the ignitor..... probably just a bad coil (or even coil wire.... my ae92 eats coilwires..... it's been through 1 set of spark plug wires and 4 coilwires)
if the engine just doesn't crank over... first thing i would try is checking the grounds... the easiest way to do this is to use a jumper cable.... run from the negative to somewhere on the block near the starter.... if it starts, then replace some ground wires (and maybe add one or two).... had this problem in one of my mr2's (replaced starter after starter... only to find out it was ground issues)
