I have a 2006 Corolla CE, and I really love it, except for one problem that I have been having. Sometimes when I get up to highway speeds, I start to hear a whistling or whining noise coming from the front of the car. It sounds kind of like what you would hear if you blow across the lip of an empty bottle, but is higher in pitch. It doesn't happen all the time, and it will come and go as I am driving. It seems to be the worst when there is a strong crosswind. Has anybody else experienced this problem, and how did you fix it?

I had the same problem with my 2005 Corolla. It was the windshild molding which they replaced under warrentee.

I heard several ppl complain about that on the newer models of the corolla. Some said they heard it coming from around the wheel well and they couldnt place the noise. Others said it came from the windows. None of them could place it exactly so this will probably help them.

My 2002 with a replacement windshield has the same problem, it's not under warranty anymore though. Anyone know how much it would cost to get this fixed?

I noticed the exact same thing on my 06 XRS... Doesn't happen all the time and it does appear to happen more often in a cross wind.. Thanks for the heads up..
