ABS Light

I have a '94 Corolla with the ABS light on. I have checked the reservoir and it's ok. I have tried unplugging the battery for a bit and it comes back on. It's not worth it to me to get it fixed. Basically I just want the light off (NYS inspection due soon). I didn't see a fuse to disable it. Any suggestions? (black tape isn't an option)

Straight from the 1993 Toyota Service Manual

to reset the code:

the DLC or diagnostic port under the hood

1. theres something called a "short pin" its basically a plastic jumper across two pins opposite the hinge side of the lid, REMOVE it

2. Use a piece of wire and jumper "Tc" to "E1"

3. turn Ignition to "ON"

4. depress brake pedal 8 times or more within 3 secs (doesn't have to be hard)

5. it should show normal code which is: (in sec) 2 off .25on .25off .25on .25off........basically constant fast blinking, if its anything else you have a new fresh code....

6. Remove the jumper wire from "Tc" to "E1"

7. Reinstall "short pin"
