SPW Muffler

Anyone ever had one installed...I got one in the mail today went to my muffler shop near me and they said that i needed mounting bracket/harness which were not sent to me? Anyone know what to do from here...i would imagine if the muffler needed a bracket or harness it would have come with it..no? When i ordered the muffler there was nothing said about needing a bracket or comeing wiht one or anything...im pretty mad about this and im jw if anyone knew what i could do about it?

is/was your muffler stainless steel? that was the prime excuse that the guy gave me, he said it was stainless steel and if he tried to weld anything to it it would put a hole strait through...idk if he just didnt have a clue what he was talking about or what...

so did he weld a piece to the muffler? or make some type of harness that went around it and bolted or welded up to support it?

you cant weld with regular wire onto stainless. Well you can but it will ruin everything.

i understand that..so what im saying is that the only option is to make some type of harness that goes around the muffler and bolts up? correct?

finally got the muffler installed today! While i was at it i had my shop get rid of the mid-muffler to free up some additional gas flow...but the thing is so damn loud...i had it without the silencer on and i pulled out of my driveway at about 730 and not even pushing that hard on the gas i had about 4 people on my block come out and yell at me! I love it haha they'll get it back for yelling at me when i rip up my street at 2:30am and wake them all up haha

its going to sound like loud ass without the resonator. that thing you removed was straight through and absolutely no impediment to the exhaust flow.

you should have upgraded the whole system. I have a full header/downpipe, catback and its not that loud really. Its real mellow, not raspy. A small diamter pipe being shoved into a 4inch pipe causes turbulence, causing loudness. That resonator didn't hurt anything, why did you take it off?

A high flow catalytic convertor also helps lower the noise a bit on a full header/downpipe cat back exhaust system. You people with your ridiculously loud exhausts do not help the car modification community. When you annoy people, they complain to law enforcement, which leads to you or anyone with a shiny muffler to get pulled over and harrassed, and leads to legislation by the government to pretty much outlaw any modification to your car, period.

It's kinda like a flowmaster muffler, the reason its sound loud is because the baffle sequence in the 40 series(pretty much what everyone runs) is crap. They actually cause decrease in power on most of their systems.
