The chassis code and the VIN # are somewhat different, on the VIN number the A refers to the motor (4AFE, 4AGE, etc.) the E9 refers to the chassis type and revision, which is Corolla (just like M or J for supras, S and A for MR2s, etc.) and the number after that refers to the car style or trim basically. (8 = GTS, 3 = Seca in your case, 5 = sedan I believe.. or was it 1)
thats like saying my car is an ae95 because the vin says ae95, doesn't work that way (for the ae88 comments). If you want to know what body you have check the firewall
