Canada Balance 2 or 4 tires

Hi,

One of my rear tires blew off. Therefore, I am going to replace two of my tires - which will be balanced. Do I have to balance the other two, which will be put as rear tires?

Thanks for your help.

Mike.

Short answer: no

I don't see any reason to balance the wheels that did not have tires changed. The wheels are balanced when not on the car, so it shouldn't matter what corner of the car they are on (unless they are directional tires). If you think you have lost some wheel weights, or you are feeling a vibration then you should get them balanced, but moving the wheels should have no effect on the balance of any of the wheels.

when was the last time they were balanced?, sometimes weights fall off over time. You don't have to but it won't hurt to do it.
