Maintenance To a 2001 Corolla S
Today I
1- Drained and refilled Radiator with new toyota coolant
2- Replaced the Spark Plugs with NGK Irridium 1X Plugs
3- Replaced Accessory belt.
4- Replaced Air Filter
5- Checked Transmission Grease level
What I got out of all this....lol a 60,000 mile mini checkup on the car because performance wise its still the cow its always been. Amazingly the plugs were in very good condition for 60k miles (gap was way off but they didint compare to the oil soaked plugs i got off my mazda mx6 when i did the plugs on it). Transmission grease was fine... everything seemed nice on the car with slight wear and tear marks on it. The belt was beginning to show cracks but it could have gone up to 100k miles. The air filter was a dustball. Im amazed at how the little toyota has such good quality on its parts. It was pretty fun to do those things on it today. Good maintenace to enhance the life of the little car. This weekend I will finish this off with the front breaks. PAds are in and i already made arrangements with my friend's shop to machine the rotors. AS far as the clutch goes i think it'l last the life of the car.
