Hey mate, i've got the same car (three of them actually).
What spec is yours? Super strut?

What do you want to know? I'd be happy to help out with what I can.

Pics??

Cheers Rob.

hey rob.

i have the 1600cc twincam MT (not the super strut suspension).

i have noticed that the only places that still have excel looking levin's are NZ and AUS.

wel; ok; here we go...

1.) i still have the stock xzorst so i want so upgrade.which system (not necessarily name branded) do you suggest is the best type of set up (eg. manifold type and size, tubing diameter, amount and types of boxes, size of tailpiece)?
my goal is to get a wicked sound but also to fully maximize the 20v potential.

2.)i would like to lower my car.for this i would like to go 4 a quality brand (eibach, koni, tein).however, i think that i may also need shortened shocks becoz the front of the car sits really high. any suggestions?

3.)i have heard some 20v with open throttles and they sound MOST WICKED .problem with my car is that when i take the over off the car cuts out (i thinks a safety feature).so then, how do i bypass this?and is it bad for the motor?
OR will trumpets be my best bet?

and PS...

most places dont stock parts for my (our) car(s).so have u found that parts from more popular rolla's (97-99 rsi/rxi) work on ur car?

thanx bro

MY advice, is to keep the factory headers, they are very good.
Go for 2 1/4" piping (maybe 2 1/2") and as straight as you can. The only reall bottle neck in the factory system is where it goes up over the cross member.

On my superstrut car, (my others are standard height) I have TRD (japan) springs, with new factory shocks. These work really well together, but it is only a 30mm drop. Anymore than a 30mm drop and your factory shocks won't last long.

You can't run open trumpets on your car because it is AFM'd. That is, for the engine to run properly all the air that goes in must pass throught he AFM. If you want to run open trumpets you'll need a blacktop ECU or an aftermarket ECU.

I don't know, I can order any part for cheap through a mate that works for toyota. Some parts would be the same for sure.
