Canada CD player not working on 2005 Corolla

Hi, Mine is a 2005 corolla. A few days back I tried to use the lighter outlet. Suddenly there was a light "boop" noise and my CD player died - along with that lighter outlet as well.

I'm thinking that most probably a fuse blew off. I checked all other electronics (head light, inside light etc) and all are working fine.

My question is - can anyone tell me where is the fuse box is that I can check for that blown up fuse?

Please advise...

One fusebox is located on the left hand side under the hood. It is in a little triangular box. I have heard there is another fusebox somewhere, but I'm not sure where!?!? Hope this helps!

If memory serves me well there are 2 fuse boxes...one under the hood, in front of the driver (I think that’s were it is) and the other is under the steering column.

Thanks guys. I actually found my own answer so I'm putting it in for future searches

The fuse box under the hood are for outside stuff (head light, rear light etc)

There is another fuse box which is behind the utility drawer that is located by the driver steering wheel. You have to take the drawer out and there is the 1"x4" black box - that's the fuse box.

To get a fuse out - you have to have the patience and ability to crawl under the steering. I was hoping to find a better way to get the defective fuse out but didn't have any luck.

I couldn't believe that Toyota put the fuse in such a cramped up place...
