Got 2 tires installed today

I was given 2 Bridgestone Blizzak's, size 155/80-13 a few days ago for free so I tried last night to put them on my front rims. I couldn't quite get them on properly, I had them on the rim but couldn't get them inflated. I took the 2 rims up the road to a garage, he inflated and seated them onto the rim and balanced them. Only cost me 15 bucks. Canadian Tire in town wanted twice that much. The car rides so much better now, with the other tires it would shudder like mad above 70 mph. Kinda oddly, but now it seems like my engine is revving a bit higher than it used to with the 185/70-13's on it (that I got off my stepfather's 88 Celica and which were no good). Doesn't matter to me, I'll get used to it. Now I've got to get the rear 2 tires replaced. I've got 2 unknown 175/70-13 all season tires on the back. One was run low before, it had a black ring around the sidewall and I think one may have a broken belt too. I've got 2 used 155/80-13 Uniroyal Tigerpaw winter tires to go on the back.

That's because the 155/80s are smaller compared to the 185/70s, the engine will rev faster because there's less tire to spin and less diameter to cover.

According to that. there's only 0.4 inches difference in diameter between the 185's and the 155's and 17 more revolutions per mile for the 155's. I didn't think it would make that much of a difference.

Its like lowing your final gear higher. Instead of the stock 3.77 gear, your prob right at a 3.90, thus faster off the line performance.
