Question parts from ae92 to ae86 swappable?

hey its soulibrium from wheels direct again!

this time i have a question in regards to swappable parts from the ae92 to ae86. any engine parts? mechanical parts? interior parts ? and what not? ive always wondered what can be swapped(well mainly replaced using OEM ae92 stuff, since they are more common then a ae86).

for example: door acuators, seats with slider and bracket, alternator, hoses, rad, electrical lines, brakes, exhaust system, anything !!

thnx for the help !!

cheers, ben

the engines on the AE86 GTS are pretty much the same as the 88-89 AE92 GTS.. the 90-91 AE92 GTS had a Higher compression engine, so I assume the internals are a bit different (hi-comp pistons, etc). the Hi-comp engine also had no TVIS which means there was no AFM, instead the engine had MAP i think.

the engine is pretty much the same, except the ae92 comes with a red top high comp (small ports) and a stronger 7 rib block. the intake manifold between the 4age's from ae92 and ae86 are different, since one is horizontal and the other is lateral

seat rails should be different, but i would imagine if you swap the rails between seats, it would be fairly easy

prolly the shift knob is the only thing that is the same on both gts models

steering wheel is not interchangeable between the two models

nope even the smallport has afm. all 4age's on toyotas on our shores come with afm.

everything on the ae92 4age is on the opposite side...so to transfer it over would be a bitch.
