engine/tranny combos?

Hi guys, I have a few questions that I hope you can help me with. Not sure what section to post in, so figured I'd start here:

I am planning on building a kit car soon, and would like to use Toyota power. The car only weighs 1300 lbs., so a stock motor will work fine. I'm looking for an engine that is NA, up to 2.0 liters and has 150-220 hp. My problem is the car is RWD and I have no idea what transmissions will work with certain engines. I'm leaning towards the 3sge, but don't know what tranny I can use with it. Are there other engines you guys suggest? Is there a list of engine/tranny combos that are a simple bolt-on?

Hope you can help. Thanks.

Joe

Can you make it a front wheel drive kit car? Doesn't matter really. If you are going to use an 3sge (from a celica) engine than just get the tranny that comes with it. You can buy a whole front clip and it will have the tranny already with it....

This may help too:

c150 - Fitted to 2e-elu (and other lower spec models) EP71 Starlets.
They ran from nov 1984 through to late 1990 I believe although on the lower spec EP80's I think the same box is used.

c152 - Fitted to 2e-telu (Turbo S Version) EP71 starlets. Slightly different ratios and they have a slightly stronger input shaft. There are some slight casing changes.
Both the c150 and c152 come non-lsd although one can be fitted. As far as I'm aware only TRD make these and they may be discontinued.
c52 - Fitted to 4e-fte (GT) EP82 starlets. Much stronger than the c15x's listed above, larger diff and gearsets. Very similar to 4age c52 internally although do have a different final drive ratio and casings. The bellhousing for example is a fair bit different.
Thanks to everyone that helped.
