2005 LE squealing?

Peeps,

I have 13,000+ miles on my 05 corolla LE. The car has been picture perfect up to this point. The only issue that has arisen is a loud squealing that occurs only in the morning when the car is cold.

It sounds like a pulley or belt to me. I have read about the tensioner but is there a way to know for sure? The belt does look kinda beat up for the low mileage. Lots of long lines on the belt, not across the belt but with the direction of the belt. Like pulley lines.

Is there a TSB for the tensioner or any other pulleys for the 05 corolla. I did a search but did not find anything exact.

Of course I will bring it in but was just curious?

Other than that, the car has had no problems, no squeaks, rattles or anything to complain about.

Your '05 is still under warranty. Have the dealer look at the problem, don't void your warranty by getting in there and breaking something ....

My car did the same thing at 40k. Took it to the dealer and they put on a new belt.

It's either the belt or the belt tension. Been there, done that. Either way, take it to the dealer ... you're covered.

Update (no biggey)

Dealership replaced both tensioner and belt and stated on paper work "NO TENSION ON BELT"

Took only 2 hours and I was pleased with the work, which is rare for me since I rarely have good thoughts about dealership service dept's.
