Question is it possible to supercharge a 4a ge 20 valve?

I own a 4a ge 20 valve corolla, and was curious to know if anybody knows if its possible to simply put the supercharger from a 4a gze onto it...or would it be a special make-up job?or would it be beyond the realm of realism to consider a nitrous oxide kit for it?

You will find that the supercharged engines have ceramic coated pistons and a lower compression ratio.

It would be quite easy to put the supercharger on, but I would definitely be sourcing GZE injectors, MAP sensor and ECU at very minimum -

Being that the 4A-GE's have a higher compression ratio, you would definitely need a good intercooler, low boost and decent 98RON fuel to avoid detonation.

It would be far cheaper and WAY easier to just buy a 4AGZE (about $950). on ebay you can get it with the ECU and everything

Not sure if it will bolt up. 20V got ITB and the GZE doesn't. You can add adaptor plate but the whole thing may hit firewall.

As above.

But it would be less messing around to just turbo it.

Still need new intake. Stock 20V intake won't take much (if any) boost.

it's been done..... bolts to the block... but you need to reroute the charge pipe coming from the s/c..... it doesn't clear the throttle bodies.....
