Damn Battery!!

hahaha... my damn battery finally died yesterday! got the new one on there already.. wow! big difference... the old one was pretty much done for a while.. I would leave the lights on for 2 mins and it was dead... sunday I got my oil changed done at Mr Lube.. and after the lady (yes, I got my oil done by a lady! ) got me thru the light check, I forgot to turn off my lights.. by the time I had paid for the service (maybe 5 mins) I was done! I had to get pushed started.. I guess that was the last straw for my battery.
Loving the new one though.. just in time to get the stereo going too! Summa Time!!

You know what's funny though.. everytime I get my oil done.. it always takes them twice as long as other cars.. you all know the 4AGE oil filter is right under the manifold.. so everyone always burns their arms at Mr Lube with my car.

Well.. I have no time to sit there and change my oil.. and to top it off.. no time to look for a place to get rid of the oil.. so I just go there and do it.

Battery I got was from Costco.. Kirkland batteries.. They're made by JCI/Optima.

nah man.. I do most of my small repairs.. plus I've only had a garage for like a year.. before that I lived in a townhouse.. so no garage.. therefore I got used to going to mr lube.

Sure oil change is easy to do, but I commute to mississauga and back.. so I'm always beat. and the only time I got free is on the weekends.. maybe summer time I will do it.

Hey the 4AFE filter filter is right under tha exhaust manifolt too, but I never burn my hands on it. And over that the guys at Mr. Lubs have the advantage of standing up under the car which gives them a better view and a better reach for everything..

I lie down under the car and change my oil.. But I love doing it, even if I'm busy I usually make time (30min) to do it...

Those Mofo at Mr. Lube tell you everything is wrong with the car.

sounds like it gnna fall apart!

they once said my tranny fluid was thin on my old Accord and I was like you fuck face I had that changed at the dealer just my previous oil change! and he continues to say it needs to be changed etc... need full system flush and I'm neva eva going back to those places again. It's going to the dealer (cuz of other little warranty issues) or doing it myself...

Thing is Mr. Lube is more expensive than the dealer at last check!

Ren, it's a good thing that you replaced your battery. If you run on a low battery chronically you'll blow your rectifier and possibly take other components with it.
For the reasons stated by Ren I take my 4AGE in to get the oil changed as well. I can hear the cries of anguish and the smell of burnt flesh followed by 'get the claw!' comments. As for the Mr. Lube at Painted Post, the last time I went in for a change they wanted to spray water on my exhaust manifold to cool it Needless to say I have never gone back. I notice that it is no longer a Mr. Lube. They charge too much in my opinion anyway.

Yeah.. it is kinda expensive.. $35 after taxes for oil change. What I like is that you don't have to make appointments.. most places I know that charge $25 you have to come in and wait till they're done with other cars.. I got no time for that.

if you're taking longer than 10 min to do an oil change, you shouldn't even bother working on a car =P
oil change should only take 5 minutes, not even.
the only thing that slows you down, is waiting for it to drain out.

oil can be dumped at transfer stations as hazardous waste, or if you're nice, at oil changing places or even canadian tire.
don't be an ass and drain down the sewer =(

i think being "boro" these days, is cool and trendy.
who the fack wants to be ghetto? it doesn't make sense. why are you proud to call yourself boro? all it means is your too damn poor or too damn cheap to fix something the proper way.
