Motor Swap

I recently bought a 1989 corolla sr5 and I would like to put a new motor into it. I was wondering if someone could tell me what motors if their are any would be a direct bolt up to the stock motor mounts. Thank you

Should be any of the "A" series engines should bolt up without much issue. You looking for a stock engine, or a 20v, or just wanna rebuild????

check with www.enginelandusa.com
i just recently bought a jap imported 4age from them and it only cost me $395 for the engine. My situation was to either go w/ a top end rebuild on the 4age that came w/ my 89' GTS or swap. Cost was discussed and it came out to be about the same, and since i wasnt gonna rebuild the bottomend of the engine i didnt wanna go through the whole fuss of risking it and suffering down time since this is going to be my daily driver. This engine i got from them had 175lbs compression in each cylinder and it roughly had about 30k miles since all engines in Japan are pulled out after they've reached the 30k mark. And most are imported into the U.S. as used engines. So check them out shipping any engine shouldnt be too expensive. They'll prolly put together a package deal or something. Good luck on your search and your newly acquired ae92.
