Short answer no with a but. Long answer yes with an if...

You can do it, if you have $$$ and patience... Heaps of it.. You'll need custom motor mounts, custom GB mounts, have to somehow squeeze the nissan hubs onto the Toyota suspension and wishbones and you would have to make sure your drive shafts are the right length too...

with time and re$ource$ sure it can be done, but my only question is why? Especially when you have the 4aGze, 4AGE Silvertop and Blacktop avaialable. If you are willing to put in the funds and time the 3SGTE would be a better option. Again Why?

Cant compare the SR20 to 4A-GZE / 4A-GE's, they're all 1.6 liters, when SR20 is a 2.0. More closer comparison would be a 3S-GE and SR20.

fwd or rwd??

If FWD its not really worth it IMO, but if RWD an sr20 is a great option.

I sure most here will disagree, but IMO the sr20det is a far better engine than the 3sgte.

Better no, with more aftermarket support and hp capabilities yeah. One of the guys on dorikaze.com did an SR20DET swap into his AE86 and it just seems like he's gone through a few motors already, could be just bad luck but let's just say he's now going back to a Toyota motor for his next project, and let's just say it just happens to be an S series motor.

Here's a little taste of what a 3SGTE is capable of.

Do you really want to open the "I've run a bearing on my 3S" can of worms?

Open it up dude.. I'd like to hear more.

Here's some pics of the SR86

Here's the pics after the "pimp my ride comes to Lethbridge Alberta" makeover.

First motor blew, second motor goes in.

Putting an SR20 into a RWD car is alot easier than a FWD, only thing you really have to figure out is the engine mounts (easy as shit) and then combine the cardan axle with the rear coupling of the toyota rear end, but go with the SR20DET
