4A-FE is wicked yes... I dont see how the drivetrain is wicked though, its like a Mitsu/Celica/whatever transversal 4WD drivetrain.

Don't they have a vicous coupling to the rear axel (the NZ/JDM ones do) . Nothing good about that setup.

As far as i know they run a t series diff end very similar to the jdm ae86's. All the people i know who own these have had no problems with the drivetrain with standard or modified motors except for the extra weight compared to your average fwd vesrion.

My wagon, gotta love this car, starts every morning with out a hassle. Driven it more then 30,000 and only put tires on it, and changed the oil

we have 2 one right hand drive and one left. The Drivetrain is something else. you can only find the same sorta thing on $50 000 SUV's (CAD) oh I guess subies and evo too.

but im pretty sure the rear diff is a plane jane open diff..
