group buy ae92 carbon hood

lets try this again. is anyone here serious enough to get together and do a group thing to have a company make us some CF hood. the stock one seems to weigh 45+lbs. if you strip everything from the car theres nothing left but body panels. or does anyone know of any japanese manufaturer that makes CF hoods for the ae92.

I've heard "let's try this again" about 4 times when it comes to AE92 CF hoods dude. Good luck.

No one makes them as far as I know, but there could be that rare company that has/had a mold and they never were a hot item.

1. Get a straight, rust/dent free hood as a mold.
2. Get a reputable shop to give you a quote for say...10 pieces, since they aren't made already.
3. Once you have the supplier & everything worked out, Start a group-buy thread.
4. Require a $100 or so deposit from users to be on the group-buy list.
5. Hope you get enough users.

AND, I forgot to mention, there is a Carbon Fiber shortage right now, so prices are going to be massive. Duane at http://www.carbonfibrefx.com/ temporarily stopped making his CF parts because of the shortage.

The wagon is different so I would assume the sedan is also different.

I'd say your chances on a fiberglass hood ar better, cheaper. Who here wants to spend clost to 1000 for a hood? I know I don't
