cost of swapping 4agze

how much would it cost to swap a 4agze, parts and labor, into a 93 corolla sedan? the reason i'am asking is because my dad is giving me his car and it has approx. 400,000kms on it. The body is good and theres no point in selling it, so the only option is to replace the engine. So i'am just comparing the price of replacing the engine with an engine swap. (just waiting for the engine to die) Also, how much would it cost to swap to a manual trans. i know not alot of people do it cause its too hard, but if its easier to do while engine swapping, i might as well do it too

If you're getting the car for free.. why not! btw.. where do you live?? Up here in the toronto area, the engine would cost you anywhere between $1400 (just for an engine with no harness) to $3000 CDN or more depending on the condition of the engine and what year it is.

Another option you would have is to go for a 20V Silver or blacktop 4AGE might cost you a bit more.. but they're worth it.. specially the blacktops. only thing is they're setup to run on high octane fuel. Sunoco Ultra94 might not even do the job.

There was a 94 corolla (I think) running around town with a 20V silvertop 4AGE, so you know you can do it to your car.

good luck man!

nah, i'am not looking for a high rev engine... i'am kinda looking for the bang for the buck deal, which looks like the 4agze for now. How would much would the labor for the swap cost? and is there a shop you recommend?
