alternative to disabling DRL's, would this work?

i keep hearing everyone talk about cutting and grounding a wire and all that fun stuff. but what if i just drive around with my parking lights on all day? would the DRL's be on if i have the parking lights on? i havent gotten my corolla yet, but im 99% sure im getting the last brand new XRS in the city in 2 weeks, so wish me luck

Whats wrong with running the DRL's ? It's a VERY effective safety device and thats why your new car is coming with them to help protect your ass by making it easier for others to see you.

the cutting and grounding method was out as a toyota service bulleting so it is the same way toyota tech do it, so its a acceptable method

If they can't see me in the daytime, then they don't need to be driving. It would at least be nice to be able to turn them off, at least temporarily. Now as to those folks who don't seem to know that they should turn their headlights on at night or in fog or rain, well, running lights make good sense. Basically, they've taken into consideration dumb drivers by installing DRL's. Just my two cents...

Sorry, I can't tell you how to disable them. Hope you're able to.
