AE92 Performance Intake

i wanted to replace the stock intake with a performance intake on my ae92 4afe and it seems easy in a picture, but i went out to get a look at how i would go abouit doing it and it seems like theres alot of stuff that would no longer be there after the new filter + pipe are installed. i know that there are alot of you who have done it to this engine. anything i should be aware of? a step by step guide for my year corolla (doesn't have to be too detailed) would be appreciated if anyone has the time. i wanna do it myself and just want to know what needs to be done so i don't run into any nasty suprises. thanx all

just put a cone filter directly on the throttle body. People will post in this thread that a cai gets you the most horsepoer and all this jazz, but the truth is when the car is moving the intake directly on the throttle body will be taking in air almost the same temp as the air outside the car. A lot of air gets into the engine bay when the cars in motion. Plus having the filter on the throttle body will give it a very distinct intake sound.

Not to mention you are dealing with a 1.6 4 cylinder, its not moving much air to begin with.
