Ya know, I just don't get this...and I have seen this numerous times...they are just little wheels on a light car....70-80lbs\ft...that's all that is required. Man people think there wheels are gonna come off and torque the crap outta them...they should just weld them on....

i've set my lugs (mr2 triangles on my ae92... same hub sizes) to 78ft/lbs using a torque wrench and have had them come loose while driving.....
i go as tights as i can with the stock bar.....

If they are aluminum wheels they are suposed to be retorqued. I put mine on at 100 ft-lbs with a torque wrench, and I have never had a wheel loosen up on me sicne I started using a torque wrench. I didn't look up the torque spec for the Prizm, every other car I have had, has been 100ft-lbs.
