2003 Corolla Door to be replaced help

Hi I'm new to this forum and need some quick help if possible. I was in a small accident today and the botom half of my driver side door is all smashed in. I couldnt open it and the top of the door was bent out. The window is stuck inside the door so I cn't roll it up. Will I have to get the whole door replace or is there just a door skin that can be changed and painted. How does this usually work when replacing a door. Nothing else of the car was touched

Same thing happened to me and my insurance replaced the whole door (used) it would probably be close to the same price if they had to fill in/weld new metal on the door then paint it..Chances are your window works are shot and there might be damage to the door surround also so just fixing or replacing the door might not be the whole thing that needs to be replaced or repaired...Just to replace the front door molding strip(just a made in China piece of plastic with 3m tape) cost $90 U.S....If your skillful and there isn't any other damage you could pick one up at the bone yard and replace it your self...Chances are you would still have to paint it to match your car, which would be a couple hundred bucks....

because it's the botom of the door that's smashed in about 3/4 of the botom is pushed in past the frame so the door will not open. but no other damage seams to be done. Where I hit theirs no electrical or anything because I took the inside panels off this morning. It's just the skin that needs to be replace on the outside. but probably change the whole door. How much does a new door cost?
