fram sucks. They've been known to fall apart and throw crap into the engine (hear say, but I wouldn't chance it) Purolator Pure One for me b4 I changed to Amsoil filters.

I agree with Flashmn and if you dont want to use OEM filters, go with a Bosch filter. Bosch filters seems to work really well and filter out all the junk.

Okay, pure one filters are great but people don't realize they restrict flow due to the heavy amount of pleating inside the filter.

Based on an article I have read the puraltor premium plus is same filter as pure one but a little less pleats and for you car would do just fine.

FRAM = stay away, they use cardboard parts inside and have been known to leak dirty oil back into the oil pan. BAD NEWS!!

Diver9000, yeah Bosch is OEM for alot of german cars. Also Hengst and MANN are good.
I doubt pleating would restrict flow enough to starve an engine.

Agreed it won't starve engine but for certain applications like V8's, a restricted flow can cause problems. This is all based on a long study I read a few weeks ago. I wish I still had the link

Hey Flashmn I just meant that Bosch was a good alternative to the OEM filter, for someone that doesnt want to use toyota filters.

It's interesting that some of you mention bosch and wix. Amsoil sells bosch products. And the new Amsoil filters were designed in a joint venture with donaldson and wix.

But if you don't want to spend the money on Amsoil. Then go with any of the others mentioned here. Wix, purolater, bosch, all good products.
