I was used to dropping the trans in a rear wheel drive car. But, when My clutch on the Toyota went out, and I saw it looked impossible to do it without lifting the engine, I found somone to do it for $200.00. Plus I am very sick with bad health, it looked like a nightmare to me even though I grew up rebuilding engines and cars. I took mechnics in college too. But the way these trasnverse engines are shoe-horned into the car, it just looked impossible. I printed the instructions out, but seperating the trans from the engine with not 1 inch of room still looks crazy to me. The next clutch might be coming in 2 years, with 310,000 miles on the car and about 100,000 miles are on the latest clutch.
We only have a stock engine, so we get the maximum life out of clutch.
