Canada How to adjust "sprinklers" in Corolla 2006

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the right way to call this in english (I'm french Canadian), but I'm wondering how to adjust the "sprinklers" in Corolla 2006 ? (By sprinklers I mean what we use to spread water (or water with anit-freeze in winter) on the windshield) Mine are spreading water too low and this problem is more obvious when it's windy... is it adjustable? If yes, how? Do I have to open the hood and remove the isolation? If yes, how? (there's plastic screws that I tried to remove without success, and don't want to break...)

Thanks for your advices,
Nico

Windshield washer sprayers
Pissers
Whatever

but not sprinklers, they do not sprinkle, they SPRAAAAAAAY, when you urinate do you sprinkle? no you SPRAAAAAAAAAAY or you PIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSS ok I'm done

anyways not sure about the 06 Rolla, but on every other car I've owned I've just used a small pin to angle them myself, then have someone hit the PISSER button so that it sprays

you do not need to open the hood look at the individual pisser (posting diagram!)
__________
[ (o) (o) ]
------------

thats approx what a pisser looks like, two (or three) grey cylinders and a black outer casing. Each of the cylinders have a hole for the liquid to PISS out of, use a pin to angle and adjust this hole, don't pull too hard as the pin can snap, also just go in about 2mm no more as the pisser isn't that long (DIAGRAM)

(o)==)=====

the o is the hole
the (o)==) is the length of it
the ===== is the line that connects onto it from within

since the outer casing is rubber, it will flex somewhat, but make sure you test after you adjust, or you may be cleaning off the guy's windshield behind you

We call them window sprayers/washers...

I just use a push pin...The kind with the plastic on it to hold notes and things up...saves on the fingers and is a little stronger

Though I would think that with all the different type tools out there they do have a specific tool just to adjust your "sprinkles"

All right I get it, HL2k, I won't call it SPRINKLERS but PISSER.... I mean, windshield washer sprayers Anyway, on Corolla 2006, it's not designed the same way as older models,
let say like Corolla 2003. On those models it's spraying in a straight line, but not on 2006 models. There's only one small rectangle hole on half of the area (other half is closed), no way to put a push pin like you suggested, Raddman... any suggestions?

Thanks again,
Nico

Yeah I have an 03 and it has 3 pisser holes on each sprayer and using a pin its easy to adjust them I would just call Toyota parts or service and ask them...They probably have as I said a special tool you are forced to buy, but I would think they would do it as a courtesy to you, how much could it cost ...Anyway it won't cost you anything to ask ...Good Luck..

Everyone's 06-07 pissers must be perfect here or someone would know how they are adjusted

My '07 owners manual says specifically NOT to push a pin into the sprayers because they could be damaged.

The manual doesn't say how to adjust them. It says to be careful when waxing to not get wax in the nozzle and to not use a pin to get the wax out. "Take it to your authorized Toyota dealership for repairs." Not very helpful.

Just call the toyota service department.. They will be more than glad to help you.. I worked in a service department for 3 years.. Trust me, we've seen stuff worse than this... An old lady came in one day and needed help getting her rear view mirror in the right spot so she could see better..... Don't feel bad..

I think pretty soon all car manuals will have one page that will say in the middle.

"DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR, PLEASE SEE AUTHORIZED DEALER"
