AE92 Rear right wheel wobbles, any ideas?

i got in a minor accident a few months ago and messed up my clutch, for about a month i drove on it but only could top out at around 50. after i replaced the clutch i could once again do 110 in the car, but it shook so much it felt like the car was going to fall apart. just a few weeks ago my mom was following me in her car and saw that my rear right wheel was wobbling as i drove, which i guess is why i cant drive at high speeds smoothly. i went to a mechanic and and had the car looked over and they said it was the struts, so i had the rear struts replaced, but the wheel still wobbles when i drive. anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong and how much it would cost to fix it? thanx all

things to check, jack up that corner and check for....

- Bad tire: spin the wheel slowly and look for bulges or lumps in the tire

- bad wheel bearings: try to wobble the wheel if theres play that could be it, to confirm remove wheel and brake drum and try to wooble the hub if theres play then it needs replaced

- bent hub: with everything bolted together spin the wheel if it doesn't spin straight then be suspect, from behind (under the car) spin it again see if the drum has wooble between it (drum) and the backing plate, if the drum wobbles then i would replace the hub, you will also probably notice the brakes drag really wierd if the hubs bent, if the drum doesn't wobble recheck the wheel then i would assume its the wheel thats bent

- bent wheel: see above.

Bent hub is my suspect. If you bent your hub or your wheel it was more than a minor accident. You must have gotten hit pretty solid or hit something pretty solid.

i didn't hit anything, i spun out and went off the road. both rear wheels got bent up when it happened and i had them replaced. is it an expensive fix? if so, how much would it cost?

~Check your wheel bearing in the rear.. do this by jacking the caru p in the air and grabbing both the top & bottom of the tire & rock it back and forth if you feel play in the bearing, you may wanna get it checked out...

~ Bent wheel or Mis balanced tire ! if you allready had the wheels replaced then this shouldnt be your issue, they could have possibly got the balancing wrong but not likely enough to cause a big issue..

lol im not sure why the mechanic thought it was your strut lol thats kinda funny

~ Did you get your lugs checked again after the wheels were replaced ? make sure they are tight !

~did you replace the wheels & tires or just the wheels ? as previously mentioned if you still have the same tires, you could have worn an uneven pattern in the tire which would throw it off !

~ heres another thing you could try Take the trouble sides wheel & stick it on the front !! if the front gives you the same issues its in your wheel/tire

Hope this helps
