04 Corolla power steering

hello everyone
I have an 04 corolla and my steering is very stiff and when i check the power steering fluid ther is about an inch of room in the little tub and the fluid is yellow on the stick when i remove it from the tub..... is this normal is thesteering usually tight and is there some way to losen it...... my sister has an 05 corolla and hers is very easy to steer she says she can actually steer the car very eaisly with one finger......... can some one shed some light on this......oh and its not so stiff that i cant steer the wheel at all its not as bad as when the steering on my 64 mustang when the powersteering went out on there......

My wifes 05 corolla is easy as butter when it comes to turning the wheel. Something does not sound right on your 04. Our 05 only requires a finger to steer, just like your sisters.

You say the fluid is YELLOW? I would get it checked quickly. I could be wrong but I've never heard of yellow PSF.
