Congratulations. I am sure you will love it. I had mine for 2 and a half years and loved every second of driving it (well, except when it is on winter tires. )

im confused about the DRL's, they look just like regular headlights. and at night they'll be on, then the headlights click on. so whats the quickest way to get my HID kit in there, cuz i hear you have to disable the DRL's. ive searched and that whole wire cutting thing doesnt sound fun unless i get some pics of that. anddddd did i mention i bought it for $17,411? thats a good price if you ask me, and i talked them into giving me another 1000 for my trade. so im happy.
Get an Injen cold air intake (from 2004 Matrix XRS) and you will notice a HUGE Difference in power. Also, a free flowing muffler helps

What do you mean?? I love my car on winter tires, it's awesome driving with winters on and knowing you got so much control compared to regular all-seasons, I'm sure an XRS would be a little more fun than my car in the winter.

I should have mentioned on the good days where there is no ice or snow on the road, the compound on BG Goodrich winter tires is way too soft compared to the stock Michelin Pilot summer tires on the XRS. The tirewalls are too soft so the handling of the car goes down the drain with the winter tires. Besides, if I punch the car in a straight line, I get horrible torque steer during lift where the steering wheel violently fights back and pulls in one direction. There is absolutely no hint of these with the summer tires at all. I know I should not complain since they are "winter" tires".
BTW, to make up for the sloppiness in the winter, before next spring I am selling my Michelin Pilot tires and getting wide 215 series Dunlop Direzza DZ101 Xtreme tires along with Tein H-Tech lowering springs.

I've got DZ101's on my levin and they are excelent tyres, you'll love them.
357wheelgunner: Why do you say that about teins? My mate has tein lowering springs in his st215 GTT caldina and they work really well. Made the car handle far better and didn't spoil the ride.

Thanks for the feedback on DZ101, Punter. I read into them a lot and only heard good things about them. Not to mention, they are priced extremely well. Wth 215 series width, I am really looking forward to having seriously sticky rubber especially for the corners .
As for the springs, I am going for the relatively milder H-Techs (1.5 inch drop at the rear and 1.7 inch at the front). They do not much the ride harsher either. I have got feedback from a few people on the H-Techs and they are all very happy with them.
