Any one ever done this themselves?

Hey guys, me again

tomorrow I am going to install a new flex pipe which I bought from a member on here. Any one know of any tips on this? I know that it is basically just a few bolts, but there might be other problems.

Also, does anyone or have a guide on installing E-Brake cables. I know the best bet would be to go to a shop, but I want to do this stuff myself, I want this car to be MY project, aka made with as little cash input as possible :P .

So yeah, thanks in advance for any insight!

EDIT*** 1990 Corolla GTS

flexpipe - you may need to grind the old bolts out, just grind the heads off and they should knock right out with a tap from a hammer and screwdriver or a punch.

pfffft so easy for the flex pipe. Thankfully the car I bought wasnt rusted at all! The bolts came off with little to no effort. 2 hour fix due to lack of tools n such, but it was fun, exhaust sounds mean now.

As for the ebrake, any diagram or picture of the underbody with labelled ebrake cables would be great

pretty sure there is a link to a manual on that page,

the e-brake cables are hidden under the heat shield to the exuast. Pretty much disconnect the cables front the e-brake handle in the car, then get under the car right by the exaust and grab the cables and follow them back. each side is held to the body of the car by 4 or 5 screws. so 10 screws for both sides. then disconnect from rear brakes. then re-assemble.

Since i replaced my flexpipe with an aftermarker downpipe/header, i just cut it off, but when i had to undo the bolts off the flexpipe, they were rusted greatly due to some serious salt from the winter. Noting a grinder and 3 new bolts can't fix.
