Question selling my 01 Rolla for an 04 Accord?

Okay, so here it goes...
I drive a 2001 Toyo Corolla LE. 61k mi no sunroof, no keyless. I only had a couple of problems with my Rolla. First, the belt tensioner. Second, a hub bearing blew. And third, the valves that return gas fumes to the combustion chamber broke. I bought my car 3 years ago and put about 30k on it. Now, I'm looking at a 2004 Honda Accord LX with 29k on it. This car has pl/pw/keyless, but has no sunroof and no rims and no leather. It is phantom, err charcoal grey. It's going for 12,777 from a Honda dealer and is certified. The list for this car is supposed to be 18,300. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

check out KBB on that accord, there must be something wrong if its going for so low. possible accident, flood, or salvage. even if its been repaired it may never be the same. however if its low just because someone died in it, well then go 4 it!

It's certified/pre-owned and just came off of a lease without a scratch on it.

I don't know about blue book, but according to Edmunds private party is $14,200 and dealer retail is $15,100. $12,700 sounds like too good of a price. Is there a corpse in the trunk?

Run a Carfax and have a mechanic you trust take a look at it. Look for obvious signs of body work.

I ran carfax on the car I have now before I bought it. However, my car was definately in an accident before I bought it. I also found Phillies guts wayyyyy in the back by the console and firewall. Thanks for nothing carfax.

well thats why you also have to use your own eyes, hands, and brains. carfax is just a tool, look down the body panels, get under the car, test drive it hard.

Carfax is so easy to fool. I never trust Carfax. It will only tell you stuff that is reported to it. I am not saying don't ever get a Carfax, but it's always a good idea to check out the car yourself in addition to Carfax. Anyways, there is a local dealer in baltimore here who sells his cars for only $500 above what he bought it at the auction for. I went to him and he had an 04 Accord as well going for 11,000. It had less than 40K miles on it. I opened up the hood and noticed colored marking on the engine as if to identify which parts were to go with which part when they were bieng seperated or worked on. This was my first and biggest indication that the car was worked on before and it probably isn't a good idea to get into it.
