license plate light

1 of my license plate lights burnt out and i need to replace it. how do i get in there to fix it? i also want to give it the look like the lexus has like a white light or something.

Pop the trunk door liner out and be careful not to rip liner, break or lose plastic tabs, they have a tool for this...There's tabs at both sides of the rectangle light fixture that hold it in, pushed in the tabs and the whole socket pulls right out... The burnt out bulb pulls right out....Took it to Auto-zone and bought a two pack for $4.99...Just reversed the steps in putting everything back in...Easy/simple and the whole process taking out and putting the new bulb in(without running to autozone) is about 15 minutes, I replaced both license bulbs, both tail lights, headlights, fog lights, shifter light, climate control light, map light in my 03 since I bought it...Good luck..

i have changed my map lights, headlights, and dome light so far. does autozone have that real white cooler i can use for the license plate like lexus has?? do any one have pics of where i should do this. i have no idea where it is. thanks bEn

Best thing for those white color bulbs is to call Toyota parts and see if they are the same bulb type and if they are compatible, As for where the bulbs are I would start right above your plates and go from there, I don't have pictures, you can try to find some by clicking on the tab at the top right of the corolla forum that says "search this forum and enter your key words...I'm sure it has been talked about before...Good Luck..

Don't do what I did with my civic. I used those higher watt bulbs that are hyper white and it ended up burning the plastic. I know what you are talking about with those nice lights from that lexus. I would like to do that too if it is possible. Those lexus lights are nice.

yea, i think i saw them stock on the 07 altima other than the lexus's.

but i am still not sure of how to change them can any1 post a pic or something for me please.
