Corolla AE100 coilovers question

Hi, I have an AE100 and I want to know if I can install coilovers, what is needed and such. Thanks.

Sure you can install them. Do you plan on using sleeves or full coilovers?

If they're sleeves then you need to replace your springs with them. You may want to invest in new struts though as older struts usually can't hold up to the beating that stiffer springs provide.

You'll want to grab the following,
- Spring compressor
- Breaker bar (or a 1.5' length of heavy pipe) to break seized bolts loose.
- Quality socket set (I'm guessing 10, 12, 14, and 32 mm but you should double check that) The bolt on the hub is usually bigger than the largest socket in most sets.
- WD40

If they're full coilovers then you won't need the compressor but you'll need the rest of the stuff minus the struts.
