I'm loving the XRS, but a couple questions

I was looking down under the hood and noticed i can see through to the ground. is that normal? would water splashing up there hurt it in the rain? also i put my HID kit in and have the relay connected to the battery, if i put a different kind of HID kit in it that does not connect to the battery, will i blow a fuse? and ive been driving it easy because it only has 300 miles on it, how long before i can really drive it hard?

yup - you will be able to see to the ground..looks odd eh..lol..and no water splashing up there will not hurt. It's built to withstand that. I wouldn't stand in front of the engine with a hose and douse (sp?) the sucker though, but all said and done you should be fine.

hehe.. all cars have nothing under the motor, usually a small splash shield but that's about it. Unless you're buying a big money sports car then you will have a nice skid plate covering under the whole motor, usually made out of carbon fiber or Kevlar.
