I cant solve corolla stalling when stepping on the gas?
Has anybody come across such a problem. I have tried everything possible.
it is a 97 corolla. I can start the engine fine, and the engine runs fine. BUT
Once i step on the gas, the engine dies.
List of things that i have changed:
Computer, New Distributer, New Crank Sensor, Used Injectors, Used Throttle Body with TPS, New SPark Plugs, Used Fuel Regulator pressure valve, Checked Timing.
Is there a way to check the engine code without a reader.
Only thing i notice, if i step on the gas lightly( At the point where the car doesnt die) the check engine light comes on, and if i let go of the gas, the check engine light turns off.
I have worked on this car for almost 1 week.. Any input would be great
sure the new injectors are good? Check the vaccum lines and replace the fuel filter. If the filter has some debrie in it when you step on the gas the debri can be sucked into the filter out hole and clogging it causing the gas flow to be incredibly low, then you have way to much air and not enough fuel causing the car to stall. Also a weak fuel pump can cause this problem

i think i would go through and test all the sensors from one end to another. surely your gonna find something. one thing that comes to mind is the map sensor.
Another thing that comes to mind is has the engine harness ever been, modified or played with or aditional wires put with the harness.
The MAP sensor is the only thing that you haven't mentioned and the only sensor that has enough control to cause stalling like that.
