dash lights

is there a way to change the color of my gauge lights..just the gauge lights..like what kind of bulbs could i use..i want maybe a red or a blue...probally a blue. i can get the cluster out but idk which bulb to use..any help is great...Thanks i have a 1997 toyota corolla CE with a 4afe

problem is the bulbs are fastened to there plastic sockets, if you can get your hands on sockets from a older corolla ie 1988-1992 you can use a standard 168 or comparable bulb just use the original bulb for comparison

^^ Or get some 'condoms' for the bulbs. they cost like $0.05 each.

i was thinking os painting the bulbs...with some kinda of light paint..or would the bulb get oo hot or somthin?

they already make a painted bulb i believe its 3A that makes them, but the paint will burn off after awhile (I know cause I had some and after like a week or 2 the color burnt off and they turned like an orange color) so I went with bulb covers they work the best or you could go with LEDs you just have to get the bulb out of the holder and bend the wires from the LED around the little metal pieces from the holder and push it back in place.
