Koni Inserts???

Is this about the same to install the koni inserts for the corolla to?

http://www.druidhillroad.com/projects/koni/

Questions

- what do people think of Koni inserts with ground control coilovers?

- Are OEM toyota shocks KYB? (the site says only KYB 49mm dia will work) probably will get a strut from the junker and just check if its 49mm

KYB GR-2 struts are NOT OE Toyota diameter, despite KYB making the OE struts. Also, there are several aftermarket strut replacements (Monroe and the like) out there, none of which will work for the inserts. If you're looking for rear inserts, I have a pair I'd be more than willing to sell you--couldn't find OE struts to put them in, and I'm through trying.

Edit: Yes, the instructions accurately reflect the project.

so the OEM struts which are made for toyota by KYB are the proper Dia for the inserts?

I think it would work out well my moms 96 corolla needs new struts all around i could sell her my 1.5 year old GR2's and use her casings for the Koni's

Hey Piloter What are you looking for, for your Koni's?

Correct. Those are the ONLY ones they will fit.

I'm asking $275 (shipping included, unless you live outside the continental US) for 'em. High, yes, but Tire Rack took a month to get mine made, shipped from Japan, and to my door, and they wanted $320.

There's a couple scratches on the bottom, where we tried to fit them into about 6 wrong-sized struts, and the original box is beat to hell, but that's how it arrived. I have all the hardware they came with, but they didn't come with instructions.

Picture at http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t170396.html -- let me know. I could concievably have them shipped out by Saturday.
