Does a 88' ae92 have a coil for the tach wiring???

I been trying to install a tach on my
88' ae92 4af but i dont know where
to connect all the wirings. the tach
that i got came with instruction but
it only for the COIL??? and i think
my ae92 doesnt have that, so yea now
iam hella lost and i dont know where to start
Can some one please help me. thank you

it has a coil.... it's built into the dizzy... pull the cap

well on other toyotas i know the tach signal wire is the either white w/blue dashes or the blue w/white dashes wire that comes out of the igniter. i dont see why toyota would change the color, they alsways seem to keep with tradition.

..... pop the dizzy cap off.... one side of the distributor is the coil and has an epoxy top. the black wire feeding to it is the coil negative... the brown wire is constant....

you should have just gone out and gotten the cluster w/tach of another rolla in a junk yard. itt'll hook right up with no trouble
