2002 Rolla 1.8 trunk light fuse?..

ok, so the trunk light wont work, and the bulb itself is fine, so it must be a fuse.. the problem is that the fuse itself must be blown.. can anyone tell me the approximate (precise = better) location of this fuse?...

You should be able to find that in the owners manual.

No such thing as a trunk light "fuse" so it's probably a wire that's grounded or bad. The trunk light is probably attached to another fuse that runs more than just the trunk light, probably the tail lights or interior lights, so if you've noticed something else that doesn't work then it would be easier to find out.

Not to be an ass either but that's why they sell fuse testers, you can buy one and test ALL your fuses.

thats definitely a possibility.. im gonna have to check around on that.. because the car im talking about had the wiring harness replaced.. so its possible that they didnt do EVERYthing perfectly.. if that.. then where is the trunk light supposed to be grounded?...

The fuse for the trunk light is the same one as the dome light. It's the 15A DOME fuse located in the fuse panel under the hood on top of the driver's side fenderwell. If the fuse is blown, your dome light won't work either.

The switch for the trunk light is located down in the little pit immediately to the left of the trunk latch. One end is connected to the bulb socket and the other end is grounded. It looks like a black top spring-loaded button.

There is 12v power at the trunk light bulb all the time. When you open the trunk the spring-loaded switch closes and grounds the circuit so the light goes on.

Good luck and Merry Christmas!

And go to the dealer and get an owners manual. if you are going to keep the car for a while there will be other things that you will need to know that are in the manual. I can also give you a place that you can send for a used one.
