3T-C and 22R interchange question

Please excuse me if this has been covered... But could anybody tell me if the 3t-c engine and the 22R engine share the same bolt pattern for the bell houseing? Or if the 5 speed trans and T case from the truck will bolt to the 3t-c Bell housing?
Thank you

The first letter after the revision number on the motor code pretty much tells you which motors you can swap for, without major mods. So basically any motor in the T series can be interchanged with one another without modifiying the motor mounts(3TC, 2TC, 3TGTE, etc), and the same goes for the R series motors. But if you're trying to go from a T series to an R series motor and viceversa, you're looking at modyfing at least one or more motor mount.

Thank you very much for that info... but engine mounts is not what I asked about. I need to know if the Transmision from a 4x4 Truck with a 22R engine will bolt up to a 3t-c engine?

The Engine is in a Suzuki Samurai... so mounting does not mater... I just want to know if the Bellhouseing bolt pattern is the same?

Thanks for the help.

They do not interchange....Ren69 explained it well. You can find a 22R engine in many Toyotas, it doesn't have to come from a truck. I like the 3TC engine myself with Weber carbs and a lopey cam. The 22R may lack in revving capared to the 3TC but the 22R has the torque you want in your Samurai moving ballon tires up a 30 degree incline. The clutch is stronger as well. If you have the 22R, add a Holley 650, custom grind cam, large headers, straight back exhaust.

Trust me you'll like it
