CD player

Hi,
I have a 1996 Corolla and was wondering if I could install 1998 Corolla CD player, or combo with the Cassette player?

as long as it fits in the available space, you can put any kind of CD player you want in that space.

I guess i did not explain my needs exactly.
I want to install the Toyota CD player and not an aftermaket one.
I just want to know if the wireing from the 1998 and above will work on 1996 corolla.
The space is the same for 93-97 corollas.
I would prefer to get that combo (cassette_CD) from 1998-2002 corollas.

i wouldn't recommend replacing your cd player with a 98 - 02 cd player, becuase they skip pretty often......today in fact i'm replacing the factory cd player out of my 99 corolla with a sony, and putting a system in it as well. I don't know if you going to get the cd player for free but, you'd probly spend about the same for a cheap aftermarket cd player as you would for the factory..........oh and this isn't my car anymore......I need to change my signature picture

i realize what you're asking. the wiring SHOULD be the same.
