Well I have all parts Intake Manfold, TEC2, Turbo Kit, Piping, I am going to have 4 people working on it, I do't care if it takes a couple weekends to get it running right. I'm starting on Thursday to take engine out and getting SC off of it and Friday start bolting on new parts. I should hope that we can get it in and running by Saturday Evening.
Any pics of any AE92 Turbo engine pics that is would be great and helpful.
I would leave the engine in unless you have to remove it. The labor is not what kill me in custom projects, its the fine little details that take forever. It take times find/research/order the last couple parts, especially when your doing something for the first time.
For the Intake Manifold, The SC, things like that.
I just figure take it out and work on it out that way I can line up everything and then I can clean out Engine Bay cause the wiring harness is coming out so I can really clean it up then.
I'm putting a TEC2 so I should be able to clean it up and make the engine bay look all pretty.....lol..............naw but for real I just want to make the engine bay look nice and make the job less clutter cause I have like 4-6people working it that weekend. I'm doing engine, suspension, and some interior things. I figure taking it out bolting things up and putting it back in should take no more than 6-8hours with the amount of people working on it.
Which is enough time to clean out engine bay and paint it black, Just so everyone knows I have a AE92 RHD LEVIN here in Chicago, was white, getting repainted to a Brandy Wine color.
When it comes out of the shop in a few weekd I"ll post pics of it. It will look ugly cause it won't have the rims on it yet, but this will be the hottest car in chicago in the Toyota department I hope and with this Turbo Transition I think it will put me over the top.
If anyone feels I'm going at it wrong please let me know what might be a better way but this is what I'm thinking will be good for me and everyone else.
