96 Corolla Power Steering fluid, anything speical

The steering fluid in my 96 Corolla is pretty low, check engine light is on as well.
Anyways my question is does this corolla require any particular special steering fluid. Most of the stuff I saw in stores says, "Meets specs of most import vehciles." I also saw special fluid for Honda, but nothing for Toyota.
I just don't wanna put the wrong fluid and have it create more problems.
Can I put the stuff from the store in, or should I buy toyota fluid.

Yes any old stuff is fine, you can even use ATF if you want.
