looks like a temp control/adjustment for your a/c.

i dont know what the hell that is, but his AC compressor is below the alternator.

its a heat control valve, its supposed to have a stove pipe to the exhaust manifold.

Its meant to heat the air going to the carburetor to prevent it from freezing

i doubt that you'll have any problems. does it often get below 40F where you live?

btw, have you felt any gains from the header on your carbed 1.6?

i juz installed it 2days ago n i havent
really tryed it cause of the holiday
but i drove it around my block
it add a little pull on it lol

umm I took mine off in the summer, winter now and still not back on. My car has been running fine without it
